RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, (RCIA) is the process by which the Church continues to bring new life and new members into the body of Christ. Retrieved from the models of initiation from the early days of the Christian faith, the RCIA is designed for adults, who after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, curiously and freely seek the living God, and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their heart.

The initiation process is a gradual one, where a participant journeys toward the sacraments with a group of community members as companions. Beyond bringing people from other faith traditions into the community, the ultimate goal of RCIA is to initiate a curiosity that will lead to a lifelong journey of seeking the truth and peace of Christ.
